Glossary
For everyone. Reference.
Terms are in alphabetical order. A term in italics inside a definition has its own entry.
A label for how decisive the model’s answers were: Model is confident, Model is unsure, Model cannot tell, or No model reading when there is no model output. The backend assigns it from the fact panel: the more questions that read unknown, the lower the band. A band shows how clear the readings were. It does not show how likely an edit is to be harmful, and the tool never shows a single percentage for that. See how a verdict is made.
Changeset
Section titled “Changeset”A group of edits that one mapper uploads to OpenStreetMap together, with a comment, an editor name and a bounding box. A changeset has a number. The tool reviews one changeset per case.
Community pack
Section titled “Community pack”A file that holds the settings a community may want to change: the response options, the cut points for readings and bands, the rule parameters and the tone of drafts. Packs live in config/communities/. An admin switches the active pack on the Config page, after the page shows every setting that would change. Runs that were already made keep the pack they used. See tune to your community and community pack schema.
Decider
Section titled “Decider”The small model that answers the ten questions. It is the Strands Decider 2B, served on 127.0.0.1 only. It reads a compact text version of the evidence and returns a probability for each question. It does not write comments. See run the Decider.
Evidence strip
Section titled “Evidence strip”A short strip at the top of a case that shows tag changes as they were before and after, one line per change. On the queue, an example strip is shown while the queue is empty, and it is marked as a sample. Text in the strip comes from OpenStreetMap, is shown as plain text and is never turned into a link.
A reason, raised before the tool sees a changeset, that the changeset deserves a look. Examples in the queue are mass deletion and New mapper. Rule codes such as R1 and R3 appear beside them. A flag is a reason to look. It is not a finding.
Invite code
Section titled “Invite code”A code that an admin creates so that a person can sign in without an OpenStreetMap account. It has a role (reviewer or admin) and can have an expiry time and a limit on uses. The code is shown once when it is made and is stored only as a hash, so it cannot be shown again. An admin can revoke a code, and people who signed in with it are signed out. See invite and remove reviewers.
A group in the queue: Looks consistent, Review suggested, Needs local knowledge, Insufficient evidence and Rules only. A lane orders the queue. It does not hide a case, close a case or post anything. Every lane is visible and counted. See why lanes only order the queue.
Live mode
Section titled “Live mode”The mode in which the tool reads real changesets from OpenStreetMap (GET requests only) and can use the Decider and Amazon Bedrock. It needs a real CSO_USER_AGENT with a contact address, and the app refuses to start while placeholder values are still set. See replay and live.
Outcome
Section titled “Outcome”A reviewer’s recorded decision on a case: Agreed, Different response, Needs survey, Disagreed with the model, or No action. An outcome can carry a note and, for a disagreement, the facts that were read wrongly. Outcomes are never edited or deleted. A correction is a new outcome, and the latest one is the current decision. See record and correct an outcome.
Reading
Section titled “Reading”One answer to one question. A reading has a probability and a state: no (below the low cut point), yes (above the high cut point) or unknown (in between). Unknown is the cautious reading: it withholds reassurance. A reading is shown with the probability the model gave to yes, and the remainder went to no. See read the evidence.
Receipt
Section titled “Receipt”The audit record of one analysis, with its own public page at /r/<run id>. It shows each reading, the rules that fired, the coverage, the lane, the band and the configuration version. It carries no reviewer name, no draft, no outcome and no evidence text. See read a receipt and receipt schema.
Replay mode
Section titled “Replay mode”The default mode. The tool serves saved changesets and never calls OpenStreetMap, the Decider or Amazon Bedrock. Drafts come from an offline template. The demo runs in replay mode. See quickstart.
Workspace
Section titled “Workspace”The named space that an admin looks after: its name, tagline, accent colour, logo, access and invite codes. A server holds one workspace. A fresh workspace has no admin until the account named in the server settings claims it, or until someone signs in with an admin invite code. See first admin.
